Although earlier dual audience classics such asAlice's Adventures in Wonderland and Pinocchio are mentioned in this volume, the emphasis is on post World War II literature. Since the boundaries between adult and children's fiction were first drawn in the mid eighteenth century, authors have been crossing them in both directions.
